Trinidad

My driver , Robbie

Last Thursday I flew to Newark in New Jersey ( got upgraded to First class , very nice ), stayed the night at a cheap hotel near the airport. Was up at 5.30am ( jet lag helps here ). Was at the airport at 7am , checked in had breakfast. Got on the plane that was to fly me to Houston , Texas , then to Trinidad. All seemed to be going well, then the pilot said there was engine trouble. I am always happy for the captain to discover engine trouble BEFORE we are in the air. So it was back to the terminal , and I got on the 11.48pm flight, that day, direct to Trinidad landing at 4.50am. I was again upgraded to First class , and got about 3 hours sleep. Upon landing I was taken to my guest house by Robbie. It’s the first time someone has held up the paper with my name on at the airport. Got one hour’s sleep at the guest house.
At 10 am I started the pro-life speaker’s course , the new one just developed by SPUC. There were 11 people for me to train. I almost fell asleep in my soup that night.
Was up early on Sunday as I was preaching in the Westside Community Church. Pastor Anthony Oliver very kindly shared his pulpit with me. There was a very good response after the service , see photo.
Sunday afternoon I did more training , this time with 12 students. I also did some training on population and the UN. I was again pretty tired last night , but slept well. Only one mosquito bit me last night.
I will be speaking in some high schools this week and doing more training next Saturday.

Travel diary and prayer requests.

Many thanks for all of you who prayed for my good friend Dave Munro ( see last blog ) .
He is much better now , is on different pain medication , and is much brighter.

I have a busy schedule from now until Christmas.

Tomorrow I fly to New York , then the next day to Trinidad. I shall be doing pro-life
training in Trinidad , as well as preaching the two Sundays I am there.

After this I will be back in New York lobbying at the UN.

I then will be home for about a week, then on 30 Oct. I fly to Australia to see family and friends.
While in Australia I shall be doing some preaching. Return home to Prestwick 21 Dec.

Your prayer support will be appreciated.

Prayer request for Dave

I have a very dear friend here in Prestwick , Dave Munro as seen opposite. It was in 1986 that I first met Dave and we had one year together at Bible college.

Dave is very unwell , and lives in much pain with a very damaged spinal column.

Could you please pray that Dave would get good pain relief and that he could sleep properly of a night.

Many thanks.

Bexleyhill , Kent

On Tuesday evening I spoke at Bexleyheath Christian Life Centre church.
Pictured right is Pastor Del Barefoot with myself at the end of the meeting.
I preached for about an hour , then fielded questions for around 30 minutes.
There was a very positive response.
Thank you for your prayer support.

Trip to London

Today I travel by train to London. Am preaching in Oxford on Sunday afternoon and again in Kent on Tuesday evening.

The two services I spoke at last Sunday , at Broughty Ferry went very well. There was much acceptance of my message.

Will be travelling home on Wednesday.

Preaching at Broughty Ferry

I am just about to get on the train and head off to Broughty Ferry. For those who do not know Scotland well , Broughty Ferry is on the east coast between Dundee and Arbroath , on the coast.

I will be preaching tomorrow morning at Broughty Ferry Baptist Church , see :

http://www.broughtybaptist.org/

Then I am speaking at a public meeting in the afternoon , organised by thew local SPUC branch.

Please pray for these two meetings.

God bless
