Tomorrow I fly off to New York for a two week stint at the UN. It is the Commission on the Status of Women. The men will not get much of a mention there. Just criticism as usual I would expect.
February has not been so great. I could not get to meet any church leaders in London. But I shall try again in mid May. Then I was meant to speak in a Church of Scotland in the NE of Scotland , but this was cancelled . The week after this I was meant to visit church leaders in Southport , but could not get any appointments.
Am hoping for more joy in New York.

ReplyDeleteHello Peter,
You don't know me and I have only just found out about you after recently becoming part of and attending the 40 Days for Life event in Manchester [UK]. My name is William Lynch, I'm retired, 66 years old in May [saved at 40 - also 1st hearing of the Gospel], married to Jacqui [also born again] with 4 ?grown up children and 6 grandchildren [none saved - yet] and I am keen to do whatever I can to help you the Evangelical Arm of SPUC. I have been concerned for 20+ years but only just got involved in Prolife issues and know from past endeavour just how difficult it is to drum up interest among evangelicals. Be encouraged brother the LORD is at hand and I fervently believe he is about to do a great work even in our day. News of you came to me when I attended a SPUC meeting in Withington and I confirmed to those there that I would contact you ASAP. I've signed up for your blog [not something I'm used to tho'] but I've got your mobile telephone number; I'll text you my contact details and would be grateful if you would call me when you get back from your UN trip; meanwhile I'll be praying for you and for evangelical churches including the one I attend to wake up / embrace this initiative.
Every blessing brother,
Bill
