The fishing was good

A nice 4 lb salmon
Tomorrow , Monday , I shall be speaking to people in the Human Life Protection Society . This is the Tasmania pro-life group that I was involved with in the early 1990s. I shall be showing them the new SPUC  pro-life schools presentation.

As you can see from the photos opposite the fishing on Bruny Island has been going very well. It was most satisfying to catch a 5 pound crayfish , just like I used to 34 years ago.

The salmon was caught in a 50 yd net, which is much easier than using a rod and fly.

Early next week  we will be busy catching fish for a men's dinner on Wednesday evening

How to feed the poor

Bruce French - Food Plants International
Last night there were eight people at my talk on the UN.

Today I went sight seeing, then met Bruce French.
This amazing man who lives in Burnie has since the mid 1960s been making a database of the edible plants of the world. He lists their nutritional value and how best to cook them as well as how to grow them.

Bruce believes, as I do, that there is more than enough potential to feed everyone well in the world. To date he has catalogued around 25,000 edible plants. He can show many countries which local plants can be eaten along with the nutritional value.

A good half days fishing

My brother Keith in his boat

Yesterday my brother Keith and I went fishing on Little Taylors Bay, Bruny Island where we both grew up. We went to the little reef and landed four good cod. Then we moved to the Yellow Bluff to try for some flat head but only got a gurnard. Then we motored along past the Quarries and caught some cocky salmon. After this we went back to the big reef and got some flathead. All the little ones got thrown back. We had a great feast that night with three Dutch visitors.

I am now in Burnie, NW Tasmania and will be speaking about my work at the UN tomorrow evening.

Preaching this morning - Queensland

Preached this morning in Dunamis Church, Tanah Merah Campus. This is in a southern suburb of Brisbane the capital of the Australian state Queensland.

Some 200 + people attended and 33 people agreed to take my prayer e-mails.

Prayed with several people after the service.

A wonderful response to my pro-life sermon.

This was the sad state of affairs yesterday , that was the biggest one I caught. He was thrown back after the photo op.
