Down to London tomorrow.

Tomorrow I get the train to London. On Wednesday evening I have a preaching engagement. Then I shall be at the SPUC Youth Conference for the weekend. Couple more meetings then back home Tuesday 7 March. Then 3 days later off to the USA for 4 weeks.

Back in Scotland

David at Chinese bridge , Dumfries House Ayrshire

On Tuesday this week I had David Maganda come and speaker at my church. He spoke of his work with refugees in Serbia , while with Operation Mobilization.

I first met David in 1988 , while we were both at Bible college. David now lives in Northern Ireland, with his Irish wife and three children. He was born in Uganda , worked for OM in Sudan and has also worked with Sudanese refugees in Cairo while working for the Anglican church. Several hundred of these refugees became Christians during this time. David will not get a work visa for Egypt now.

I plan to visit Belfast in mid-June as David will organise some speaking engagements for me there.

At the UN again , NGO committee

I have just spent a very nice week with my brother and his family in California. I am now at the UN attending the NGO committee meeting. I help NGOs with their accreditation to the UN.

Off to the USA

Tomorrow I fly to Arizona for a meeting.

Then on Sunday 22 Jan I fly to San Diego for a week to see my brother. This will be vacation time.

After that I will be at the UN in New York at the NGO committee 30 Jan to 8 Feb.

Home with jet lag 9 Feb.

Off to London next Saturday & trip to Australia

 My very artistic younger brother, Keith , with the Ferro cement bird, called George.
He got the kids at the Bruny school ( Tasmania ) to make him. George has 2 heads.

 My son and grandson on Morton Bay , Brisbane. Two more generations of Smith fishermen.

 I got to take two grand - nephews fishing for the first time and they caught about 20 fish in 30 minutes.

 My first catch of fish , these took about 2 hours to haul into the boat.

Keith had me helping to stack timber to work off my " free" accommodation.

Here I am on the wood splitter doing the firewood. Home made splitter worked well.

On Sunday 8 Jan I shall be preaching in an Anglican church in London. Have other meetings in London that week.

Off to Aus. ( but not in the boat )

Good news I have purchased another outboard for "ma wee boat".  She will now plane which is a bit scary . Note the nice big heavy chain to deter thieves.

Tonight I head off the Australia for a 4-week vacation to see family and friends from the land of my birth. Please pray my case gets on my plane OK at Heathrow.

Good news from the USA , a pro-life president elected and Republican  House and Congress in Washington. My work at the UN should be more effective in the next 4 years Lord willing.
